So you've decided to start turning your passion into profit with Football Is Life? Great! In this article we'll take you step by step through the process, but if you need any help at all, our artist support team is available at help@football-is-life.com at any time.
Step 1 - Create Your Football Is Life Account
If you haven't already then head over here to register an account by filling out the simple form. Make sure you check out the Artist Terms and Conditions for more information on how everything works.
Step 2 - Fill In Your Details
Once you've created your artist account and logged in, we recommend filling out your account details. To do this you will need to select 'Account Details' from the menu and log in to your admin panel using the same details you signed up with. From there under 'Profile' you can edit your store description which will appear on your seller collection page, as well as your store/artist logo. You can also add your payment details ready to start receiving your commission!
Step 3 - Create a Design
This is where the fun bit starts! Firstly you're going to want to create your design if you haven't already. You can create your design using any tool of your choice, whether that be Canva, Photoshop or anything else - as long as it's in jpg, png, or pdf format.
Top Tip: Try out different backgrounds to make sure your design will work on all the colours you choose - if your design is all white then maybe avoid a white t-shirt!
Step 4 - Choose a Product
Once you've got your design ready, it's time to choose a product to put it on. We have a range of products to choose from, including T-Shirts, Hoodies, Art Prints and Mugs. Plus we'll be adding more options over time!
On the product creation page there's 3 steps to consider:
- Name your product - choose a unique title that describes your creation.
- Select your colours/sizes
- Upload your design - you may need to go back into your design to make sure it fits nicely on your product
Top Tip: Choose as many colours and sizes as you can to give your customers plenty of choice and get your design on multiple products, if people love your design, they might want it on a t-shirt and a mug!
Step 5 - Describe Your Product
Make sure you utilise product tags and describe your product well. A good use of tags and a well written product description helps people find your product and can convince them to buy it!
Step 5 - Set Your Prices
The final step before publishing your product is setting the price. We support artistic freedom here at Football is Life so you can choose your own price for each product. (Although there is a minimum for each product type so you can't sell for less than it costs to make!) We recommend taking a look at existing products on our store to get an idea of pricing, but ultimately it's up to you to decide what your art is worth.
Top Tip: Clothes in sizes 2XL and beyond cost a bit more to produce and customers will be used to paying a premium for them so don't be afraid to mark up the price a bit on the bigger sizes.
Step 6 - Launch Your Product
Once you've completed all the above, all you need to do is click 'Create Product' and your design will be uploaded to our store. It can take a few minutes to publish so please be patient if you don't see it straight away. Once published you can edit the product title, description and tags from your artist dashboard, but you won't be able to amend the design or price, so make sure you get them right!
Step 7 - Collect Your Commission!
Last but certainly not least - just wait for the orders to come in and collect your commission! Make sure to share your products across social media to maximise visibility. You'll be notified when an order comes in for one of your products, then we'll take care of printing, posting, and keeping the customer updated as the commission gets sent straight to you!
Top Tip: Make sure you've added your payment details to your artist dashboard to receive your earnings.
