Wayne Rooney turned up to the 2025 Christmas special of The Wayne Rooney Show in our black “That’s His Job!” Roy Keane Christmas jumper. Then he told everyone what he puts on his Christmas dinner. We can vouch for the jumper. The mushy peas are all Wayne’s.

What does Wayne Rooney’s Christmas jumper say?
“Praising Santa for delivering presents? That’s his job!”
We took Keane’s refusal to give footballers a round of applause for doing the basics and applied it to the one bloke who works a night shift every Christmas Eve. Seeing one of his old Manchester United teammates wearing it on the BBC made the joke even better.
The black version Wayne wore is a printed crewneck sweatshirt. You can see the other colours and check the size guide on the jumper’s product page.
Mushy peas, no roasties and a West Ham player who went missing
The Christmas Eve episode brought Rooney, Kelly Somers and Kae Kurd together with Sam Allardyce and Dion Dublin. Wayne’s ideal Christmas dinner includes mushy peas, sweetcorn and new potatoes in place of roasties. He even makes a case for using the juices from the vegetables instead of gravy. Dion was about as convinced as you’d expect.
There’s plenty of football in the episode too. Big Sam remembers finding out a West Ham player had gone home for Christmas and wouldn’t be back for the next game. Dion explains why some players kept out of their manager’s way over the holidays, and the panel debates what happens to a Boxing Day tradition when there’s only one Premier League match. What people said about the jumper
Tribuna called it “the year’s most original Christmas jumper” in its headline. We’ll take that, although Roy would probably tell us making Christmas jumpers is our job. Read Tribuna’s coverage.
On Football Is Life, customer Dean Wilmut wrote, “Arrived in good condition and good time as well.” Read the product reviews.
More ways to tell Santa he’s just doing his job
There’s a kids’ Roy Keane Christmas jumper if you’re getting the family in on it, a Christmas T-shirt for anyone who runs hot, and a Roy Keane Christmas mug for Secret Santa. The design is also available on iPhone and Samsung cases.
